Ideal base for exploring eastern Cyprus

The Mimosa Beach Hotel is set close to some of the most historic and fascinating sites in Cyprus. Just down the road are the ruins of Roman Salamis, with its arena, gymnasium and Roman toilets (kids love seeing these!). You can even walk down the coast to visit Salamis (about 1.5kms), and take a dip in the beach to swim over the remains of the ancient harbour.

Take a bus, a taxi or a Go North Cyprus tour to explore the old walled city of Famagusta, just 12kms south of your North Cyprus hotel. Stroll in the shade of the mighty walls, discover the cathedral and Othelloт€™s Tower, and see how the Ottomans, Venetians and other invaders shaped this mighty sea port. Just beyond is the border with the UN green line, the border between north and south, and the ghost town of Varosha, frozen in time behind the wire. 

Head north to the Karpaz Peninsula to discover tiny fishing villages, ancient churches, a healing spring created by St Anthony, golden sandy beaches that stretch for miles, and some very grumpy wild donkeys!
