About Long Beach Resort Hotel

HOTEL INFO

Beach lovers will adore the Long Beach Resort, with its pretty villas and bungalows set along a lovely golden sandy beach. This is one of the few beach hotels in North Cyprus where you can sleep with the beach literally just outside your door - and not spend a fortune to do so!

The Best of Beach and Hotel Combined

Arranged more like an Asian beach resort hotel than a Mediterranean holiday village, the Long Beach Resort combines the sheer enjoyment of sleeping near the sea with excellent hotel facilities, all in one affordable package. You can choose to laze by the pool, swim in the sea, or enjoy lunch in the restaurant overlooking the sea, all within a few yards of your cool and comfortable accommodation. Best of all, book a beachfront villa and you can literally step out of your door and onto the sands.

Spacious Mini Villas Beside the Sea

Each mini villa has air-conditioning, a nicely tiled bathroom with shower, satellite TV, a mini kitchenette and a fridge. Some villas are right on the beach, others set back in the gardens, but all have a small patio with chairs so you can sit out and enjoy the views wherever your villa faces! With separate bedrooms and great views, these low-rise villas offer great value accommodation in an unbeatable beach location.

Superb Sandy Beach on Famagusta Bay

Locals and visitors agree that the Long Beach Resort beach is one of the best in North Cyprus. Set in the sweeping curve of Salamis Bay, the sands gently slope into the warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea, making a perfect place for paddling, swimming, or just lazing on the sands. Here, there's nothing to spoil the view over the waves, no noisy beach bars or extensive hotel developments, so you can simply enjoy a beach holiday in peace and quiet.

Safe Swimming Pools and Sun Terraces

At the Long Beach Resort, you are never far from a cooling dip. Soak up the sun on the poolside terraces, then take a dip in the hotel swimming pool, with its separate children's section. The pool is right next to the beach, so if you like sand but not waves, you can enjoy the best of pool and beach within just yards of each other. There's a poolside bar area and beach bar too, so you're never far from a cool drink or a snack.

Buffet Breakfasts and Dinners

With both breakfast and dinner served as an open buffet, you and the family can choose your favourites from the Cypriot and international dishes offered. If you prefer to eat out some nights, there is a wide variety of restaurants, cafes and bars in nearby Famagusta, famous for its huge defensive walls.

A Great Location for a Family Beach Holiday

Kids will love the Long Beach Resort, where you can take a stroll from your villa to sea to pool.

Much of the appeal of the Long Beach Resort is the quiet and relaxing atmosphere, and this extends into the evenings as well. Most families enjoy strolling along the new seafront promenade where children can play on the well-equipped play area.

Next door to the resort is a protected area of beach where sea turtles lay their eggs, so during the season they can watch the eggs being buried by the mother turtle, or the tiny hatchlings scrabble down to the sea on organised turtle watching sessions.

Take a 5 minute taxi ride into the fishing port of Bogaz, with its fish restaurants, and bars.

Just down the road is the site of ancient Salamis, once a mighty Roman port and now a perfect place for a day out exploring ancient gymnasiums, temples and an irresistible attraction for kids, genuine Roman toilets! There's also a cafe and a terrific little beach where you can swim over the remains of the ancient harbour walls. Hire a car and check out the wild landscape and wild donkeys on the Karpaz Peninsula, to discover a part of North Cyprus most tourists never even glimpse.

Fly into North or South Cyprus

At the Long Beach Resort, you can choose between North Cyprus flights into Ercan International Airport or direct flights to Larnaca in south Cyprus. Transfer times to Larnaca are around 1hr 10 mins and do involve a border crossing, whereas Ercan is just 55 minutes transfer with no potential border delays, but a longer flight time overall.

"Nice break at a price that's right"

We found Long Beach Resort Hotel on gonorthcyprus.com and booked soon after, Gary got us a great deal that included transfers so we were happy! Room was nicely turned out, very clean and comfortable. The staff made us feel right at home and were always helpful with questions or requests. There's a nice water park and pebble beach on site ideal for kids. We took a jeep safari and went on a boat trip during our...

stay, both were enjoyed by me, the wife and our two boys. Food was good but the buffet can get quite busy, there are lots of nationalities staying at the hotel. We had a good break at a good price.

"Relaxed seafront escape"

We've just returned from a break at Long Beach Resort Hotel, which we booked through gonorthcyprus.com. Both my wife and I enjoyed our stay, which was great for a mid-level budget break. We had a basic but smart apartment, which was kept very clean and well maintained. The private sandy beach is just outside and the hotel has a restaurant with an excellent chef - the food is delicious and well priced, drinks...

reasonably priced, too. We visited out of season so the hotel wasn't too busy but if you go in peak season be sure to claim your sunbed early in the day, as the poolside area is bound to get busy. The hotel is a bit out of the way so think about hiring a car - it's worth it to see more of the beautiful region.

"Relaxing stay at Long Beach"

Very nice and quiet break at Long Beach Resort Hotel, which Gary from gonorthcyprus found for us. We were looking for something at a great price in a peaceful location and this fit the bill perfectly. It's not the most modern of hotels, but that's part of its charm - you pay for the standard of service, not unnecessary extras. Incredibly relaxing and the staff are just superb, very friendly, attentive and...

always happy to help. The beach is uncrowded and the pool too, it's ideal for recharging your batteries. Good buffet food but there aren't many places to eat out nearby, so your best bet is to hire a car, it's only about £20 a day and petrol is cheap. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip and will be returning.
