About Chateau Lambousa Hotel
Unique North Cyprus Hotel with Tonnes of Character
Le Chateau Lambousa really is like no other hotel in North Cyprus, a fantastical mix of stylish comfort and genuine antique furnishings. Inside, it's like a mini museum, with period furniture, paintings, objects d'art and the odd suit of armour or two. It sounds as if it shouldn't work as a hotel but it does, incredibly well, and our team absolutely raved about it when it reopened for spring 2015.
Classic Seaview Rooms or Smart Mini Villas
Le Chateau Lambousa offers a genuine choice of accommodation styles. For large French style beds, antique furnishings and rich fabrics, choose a room in the main hotel, with a sea view balcony shaded by an elegant arch. Lie back on your opulent bed in air-conditioned comfort to watch TV, or sip a drink from the mini bar and browse the internet on the complimentary wifi while watching the sun set from your balcony.
For a more contemporary feel, opt for the spacious villas, set around their own swimming pool. With three bedrooms, one on the ground floor and two above, these villas can accommodate up to eight people, making them ideal for family groups. With a small kitchenette area, a bathtub, and literally just a few steps from the pool, these terraced villas are delightful.
Plenty of Spaces to Relax
It's easy to find a space to relax at Le Chateau Lambousa. Soak up the sun on a lounger by the pool, share one of the large daybeds, ottoman style seating or a crazy 'egg' chair with friends or family, or find a shady spot in the gardens. Inside, you can relax with the paper in the North Shields pub, recreating the very best parts of a traditional UK pub including fireplace and paintings, or read a book in the cool, smart lobby area.
Turkish or Traditional Menus, the Choice is Yours
The slightly crazy mix of classic European and Turkish means you have a terrific choice of dining options across the five different restaurants at Le Chateau Lambousa. Start with a generous buffet breakfast in the Sultan's restaurant, which also serves delicious buffet lunches and dinners on the terrace in the summer, with a wide choice of Turkish and international dishes. Tuck into traditional Turkish Cypriot meze, tiny dishes of tastiness at the Palm Gardens restaurant, which also offers slow roast lamb (kleftiko), kebabs and fresh grilled fish. The pool snack bar is ideal for those midday munchies, or enjoy a range of snacks whilst watching the football in the North Shield English-style pub. The aptly-named Authentic Cyprus Cottage offers traditional Cypriot home-made dishes to give you a real taste of North Cyprus on a plate.
Large Hotel Swimming Pool and Exclusive Beach Club Area
The main pool at Le Chateau Lambousa gently curves around the large terraced area at the front of the hotel, so you can follow the sun around all day! The terraces are dotted with comfortable chairs and tables, perfect for evening drinks or for sitting with a book in the shade.
Twice a day, the hotel shuttle bus takes the three minute journey to the Camelot Beach Club, where you can lie back and enjoy the views over the sea, stroll along the water's edge with your feet in the soft sands, swim in the shallow bay protected by a breakwater, or just enjoy a snooze in the shade of the elegant curtained pavilions, fanned by cool sea breezes. Hotel guests have a specially reserved section of the club, and entry is free.
Celebrity Past, Glittering Future
Back in the 1970s before Cyprus became a divided island, Le Chateau Lambousa was one of the top celebrity hotels, frequented by the likes of Brit Eckland and the Rolling Stones. After partition, its fortunes wavered, and it was closed for many years until leased by the American University in Girne, who have invested some serious money and restored this amazing hotel to a true destination venue. So, book now before the celebs hear about it!
Entertainment for All Ages
All that relaxing can be a little dull for kids, so the hotel will keep your little ones entertained with a special kids' club for ages 5 to 12 years. There's also a children's playground in the hotel gardens. There's always something happening at Le Chateau Lambousa, including Cyprus nights, 60s nights and other entertainment, and with a babysitting service available, parents won't need to miss a moment of the fun! Every Saturday morning the hotel hosts a local arts and crafts market, perfect for browsing for that unusual souvenir or gift.
Seven Seas Spa and Wellness Centre
Enjoy a relaxing massage in the hotel's new spa and wellness centre, a little oasis of calm with an indoor swimming pool which is heated in winter. Book a treatment to rejuvenate and purify your body or just or just let the heat of the sauna soothe away any aches and pains.
45 Minutes from Ercan Airport
Located in the village of Lapta, Le Chateau Lambousa is also just a 45 minute drive from Ercan International Airport in North Cyprus with a private transfer from Go North Cyprus. With flights to North Cyprus from UK regional airports too, that means less time at the terminal and more time enjoying the Cyprus sunshine!

"Romantic couple's getaway"
I took my wife to the Chateau Lambousa Hotel for a romantic break, we'd had a manic time in the run-up to Christmas so we decided to get away for a few days before the big day arrived. We had a nice room with a balcony overlooking the pool and were pleased with the standard of cleanliness although an update might freshen up the decor a bit. Breakfast was sufficient and we really enjoyed the bar meals, the...
restaurant in the basement is a little bit dark. Really friendly restaurant manager and staff though. The hotel setting is very pleasant under the hills and the pool area is nice too. It was mainly other couples when we visited so was quiet and relaxed. We got a good price for the break and returned feeling relaxed.

"Elegant and enjoyable week away"
My husband and I stayed at the Chateau Lambousa Hotel with gonorthcyprus recently. We were impressed by the pictures of the hotel on the website and decided to book a break in September when things would be a bit quieter. The hotel is very attractive with a great pool area, the atmosphere is peaceful and we were welcomed by the staff. We stayed in a sort of bungalow in the hotel grounds, which was very clean...
with good facilities, including a fridge, sofa, table and chairs etc. Good air con which wasn't noisy and a large, comfortable bed. We enjoyed the daily breakfast and evening buffets and ate out the rest of the time. There's a lovely private beach and the hotel provides towels, which is a nice touch. We felt relaxed and rested for the whole of our stay.

"Quiet and relaxing"
We got a great price on a short break at Chateau Lambousa through gonorthcyprus so decided to give it a try. We were looking for a bit of peace and relaxation and we certainly found it here. The staff were friendly and very welcoming and the accommodation is very clean, comfortable and more than met our needs. There's a beautiful pool area outdoors and a heated indoor pool too, the atmosphere is one of...
relaxation and the staff are always on hand to deal with requests and questions. Breakfast is good and varied buffet, we only had the evening meal once but found it to be delicious. The beach isn't far if you take the shuttle bus, only a few minutes. Overall, a lovely time had by us both in this peaceful retreat.
